Research Interests: Precision Forming Technology
Xiaogang Hu received his Ph.D. degree in materials science and engineering from the University of Science and Technology Beijing in December 2016. He has also spent one year in University of Leicester, UK as a training jointly Ph. D studying rheology of semi-solid alloys. His research area is numerical modelling of semi-solid processing of aluminium alloys, especially interested in the modelling of semi-solid die casting using both one-phase and multiphase approaches. He also has a background on producing semi-solid slurry and post-processing of semi-solid castings. Xiaogang is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Southern University of Science and Technology, focusing on additive manufacturing with multiphase materials.
